Beschreibung:The five-star superior Hotel and Resort Traube Tonbach-family owned since 1789-is located at the end of the idyllic Tonbach Valley in the Black Forest in the South West of Germany. Traube Tonbach has been owned by the same family for over 230 years. In 1789-Tobias Finkbeiner built one of the very first houses in the Tonbach valley when the forestry industry was just starting to take hold there. Then he opened a tavern for the thirsty lumbermen and all the other working men. The original dining hall-the Traube-is still in use and is today known as the Restaurant Bauernstube. The owners family personal touch-along with the friendly synergy between the guests and the Traube staff-help to create a close connection to the hotel. The 153 rooms and apartments are furnished in the style of an elegant country house and the suites have an exclusive Black Forest ambience. All rooms have a balcony or sunny terrace with spectacular views of the Black Forest. The pool area and the Spa and Resort cover 4500 square meters. A major part of the hotels clientele comes from the segment of multi-generational travel. In the Traube Kids Court families find plenty of space for active children. The hotel is honoured with the German 5-star-superior-category and the American 5-star-diamond award. Its gourmet restaurant Schwarzwaldstube with Chef Torsten Michel is known to be one of the best restaurants in Europe. It was rated with 3 Michelin Stars for the last 26 years and is also rated in the Gault and Millau with 19 and a half out of 20 points.
